Terms of Service.

By creating an account or using any part of Heyrafiki, you accept these Terms. Practitioners, Insurers, Employers, Universities and NGOs also hold a separate written agreement with us, and where that agreement and these Terms differ, that agreement governs.

You must be 18 or older to hold an account. Care reaching a young person through a school, University or Program runs under the consent and safeguarding terms agreed with that institution.

Care is delivered by licensed Practitioners exercising their own professional judgement. Heyrafiki provides the Platform, the verification, and the Facility and payment arrangements that let them practise. Clinical decisions are theirs.

We verify a Practitioner's licence and standing against the official records, on a standing schedule. That is a check on credentials, and it is not a warranty of any clinical outcome.

Iris drafts, suggests and organizes. She does not diagnose, and she does not decide your Care. A Practitioner reviews and approves anything that enters the clinical record.

Screenings on Heyrafiki are validated screening instruments. A Screening is not a Diagnosis, and no part of Heyrafiki is a substitute for emergency care.

If someone may be in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or use the numbers in our Crisis Centre.

Prices are shown in full before you book. When you pay for a Session yourself, the money is taken at booking and held by Heyrafiki until the Session is delivered, then released to the Practitioner. Where a Session is covered, the Claim is raised against your Insurer and settled between us and them.

Cancellation and refund terms are set out at the point of booking and in your Practitioner's own policy, which you see before you confirm.

Practitioners are paid according to the plan they hold. Platform fees, payment-processing charges and any currency conversion are disclosed in the plan terms.

Keep your credentials secure and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used by someone else.

Do not misuse Heyrafiki: no unauthorized access, no interference with its operation, no unlawful or harassing material, no misrepresenting a professional qualification, no scraping or automated traffic that harms the service, and no attempt to identify a person from aggregate reporting.

We may suspend an account where these Terms are broken, where the law requires it, or where safety requires it.

Heyrafiki owns or licenses the Platform, its design and its branding. Parts of our stack are released under open-source licences, and those parts are governed by their own licence terms rather than these.

What you write stays yours. You grant us the limited licence we need to store it, show it to the people you have shared it with, and operate the service.

Links to other organizations are provided for convenience. Their services and policies are their responsibility.

We work to keep Heyrafiki available and secure, and we may update, suspend or withdraw features as the service develops.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and the courts of Kenya have jurisdiction. We update the date on this page when they change materially.
